The survey titled “Travel Alternatives Remain Strong” shows that virtual meetings are an accepted and firmly ingrained means of communication in corporate culture with 64% stating that virtual meetings have increased within their company in the last year. Further, approximately 80% felt that virtual meetings were sometimes or always as effective as in person meetings.

Survey results were released in the November edition of the AirPlus monthly report, The Wire, and were based on 173 corporate travel buyer respondents primarily in North America from November 10-15, 2011.
